Women of Influence, Destiny and Community
On Friday, January 29th & Saturday, January 30th, over 100 christian women came together for worship, dynamic discussion, spiritual growth, laughter, food and friendship! The women in attendance came in from several churches in the Pittsburgh area and several from out-of-state, for the weekend activities. The group was blessed to have guest peformers: C. Joy, Joyful Noise and Total Praise Mime Ministry.
This gathering featured Keynote Speaker, Ming Nagasawa, Boston area social worker and family therapist working especially with families in crisis. Ming is part of a Christian Community that is trying to make a difference in their low-income neighborhood through the ministry of presence and relationships. Ming spoke to us from Matthew 5-7, focusing our hearts in relationship with the Father.
Our Special Guest Speaker Friday night was Susan Frederick. God’s primary call for Susan has been to encourage and teach women to live out their divine calling. After 57 years of singleness, Susan married in 2006. Ernie and Susan are now called to an “Abraham and Sarah ministry” for Pittsburgh and the surrounding communities.
